Sports Massage
Sports Massage is a specific form of massage. It can be used before during and after athletic events. The treatment helps prepare the athlete for peak performance increasing blood circulation and lymph flow. The treatment helps to beat fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility and minimise injuries. Sports massage can also prevent niggling injuries that can get in the way of performance and achievement. The treatment can be used pre and post event, for restoration and rehabilitation. It is useful for people who are in any way active. Rather than giving a full body massage the focus is on the problem area e.g. a frozen shoulder, low back pain, pulled hamstring, sciatica etc. Each session lasts approximately one hour.
